Licensing
The short version
- Every wallpaper carries one license, shown on its page. The creator chooses it.
- Any license lets you set a wallpaper as your own background.
- Anything beyond that depends on the license: sharing, editing, or selling.
This summary is here to help you read the page. The full text below is what applies.
Each wallpaper carries one of three licenses: CC BY 4.0, CC0, or free for personal use. The wallpaper page states which one, next to the download button. The creator picks it when they upload and can change it later. A change applies to downloads after it. A copy you already downloaded keeps the license it came with.

CC BY 4.0
Use it, share it, and build on it, including commercially, as long as you credit the creator and link back to the wallpaper. The full terms are the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.
CC0
The creator has given up their rights as far as the law allows. Use it for anything. Credit is welcome but not required. The full terms are the CC0 1.0 dedication.
Free for personal use
Set it as your wallpaper on any device you own. Do not republish the file, post it as your own, put it in an app, theme, or wallpaper pack, or use it in anything you sell. For anything else, ask the creator. Their page may link to where you can reach them.
How to credit
Where the license asks for credit, a line like this works:
"Press House" by @chris on Negative Space, CC BY 4.0: https://negativespace.art/w/press-house
Sizes and loops
Every size and format the site makes from a wallpaper carries the original's license. That includes upscaled sizes, and the MP4 or GIF loop when the creator added motion.
House wallpapers
The nine house wallpapers (Press House, Ember Nave, Five Doors, Last Pew, Procession, Congregation, Small Hours, Signal Bloom, and Red Vespers) are credited to @chris, the account that made them. The stand-in photographs used while the site was being built were removed on September 28, 2026.
